Daily Dose of L

“But now the guy’s got to come up with Paulie’s money every week. No matter what. Business bad? F–k you, pay me. Oh, you had a fire? F–k you, pay me. The place got hit by lightning, huh? F–k you, pay me.” –Henry Hill

At least a part of the reason we pay for goods and services is that we are respecting the value placed on that good or service. When I go to buy music equipment, they aren’t going to let me take the equipment home and use it before I give them a full payment. I can’t bargain and negotiate the price or offer to pay in anything other than cash. So why do these rappers want to do the same thing. Why do they wanna get mad about the price of a beat? If you can’t afford it then don’t buy it. I don’t care about who else you have to pay, or your work schedule or how dope your verses are that you wrote to the beats I posted online. Like Jay-Z said, “What you eat don’t make me sh*t.” F–k you, pay me.
